1. Special Issue on Promises and Risks in Cloud Computing

Scope/Topic
As an emerging technology that promises great cost savings, cloud computing is gaining popularity among IT professionals and a wide variety of businesses. Many applications have been implemented including Hadoop and data intensive computing applications taking advantages of cloud computing. However, security and privacy has been a bottleneck of a wider adoption of cloud computing. This special issue provides a forum for in depth discussion of barriers and opportunities of cloud computing. Topics include but not limited to the following:
